Bryony Dunne (Irish, b 1984) is a visual artist and filmmaker based between Athens and Dublin. Building on her background in documentary photography and visual anthropology, she explores the relations between humanity and nature, the arbitrariness of cultural representation, the legacies of colonialism, and the fantasies of human control.

After an artist residency at Cairo’s Townhouse in 2013 Dunne spent six years in Cairo using the city’s multi-layered history and culture as the inspiration for her various series of works.
